Teak suffers from having its name attached to any number of hardwood knockoffs (Mahogany has a similar problem). They call Cumaru “Brazilian Teak” (Dyptera odorata). “Rhodesian Teak” (aka African Teak) is Baikiaea plurijuga. Fine woods in their own right, but they’re not Teak. Since we’re speaking Latin, caveat emptor (buyer beware): find a supplier you can trust.
